Plans, billing, credits, and fairness
How does pricing work?
You subscribe to a monthly plan. Each plan includes:
- Search runs (to preview results)
- Unlock credits (to permanently save a lead with full details into your Vault/CRM)
What is a search run?
A search run happens when you query a city + industry and receive a preview list of results. Previews are designed so you can evaluate candidates (score, rating, category, city, etc.) before spending unlock credits.
What is an unlock credit?
An unlock credit is used when you unlock a lead to access full details and save it into your CRM. This is the moment the system may fetch additional data and store the unlocked lead for you permanently.
When are credits deducted?
Credits are deducted only after a successful unlock workflow — meaning the system successfully fetches details and saves the unlocked lead to your account. If the unlock fails (API error, timeout, etc.), it should deduct 0 credits.
Can I be charged twice for the same lead?
No. Unlocks are designed to be idempotent. If a lead is already unlocked in your account, unlocking it again should not charge you again.
Do unlocked leads stay permanently?
Yes. Once unlocked, a lead remains saved in your CRM so you can keep notes, tags, follow-ups, and outreach drafts over time.
Do monthly credits roll over?
No. Monthly credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Unused credits expire at the end of the billing period. Previously unlocked leads remain permanently available in your account.
When do my monthly limits reset?
Your monthly allowances reset on your Stripe billing cycle. If you’re unsure when that is, open your billing portal and you’ll see the renewal date.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Your plan remains active until the end of your current billing period, and then it will not renew.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. You can switch plans from the billing portal. Plan switching may prorate depending on billing settings and timing. Your monthly allowances reset each billing cycle.
Are there refunds?
We do not offer refunds for unused credits or partial subscription months. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. If you were charged due to a verified system error (such as a failed unlock deducting credits or a duplicate charge), contact support with details and it will be reviewed as a fairness correction.
What if I hit my limits?
When you hit your plan limits for the current billing cycle, you’ll need to wait for your reset date or upgrade your plan. This is intentional — it keeps pricing fair and prevents cost surprises.
Territory, discovery sessions, and the Vault
What do you mean by 'territory'?
Territory means a focused search context like City + Industry. Most users get the best results by building one territory, executing, and then expanding into the next.
What’s the difference between Preview and Unlock?
Preview shows enough information to decide if a lead is worth pursuing (name, category/industry, city, rating/reviews, and internal score signals).
Unlock saves the lead permanently into your CRM with full details and execution tools.
Unlock saves the lead permanently into your CRM with full details and execution tools.
Where do unlocked leads live?
Unlocked leads live in your Vault (your permanent CRM list). That’s where you track status, tags, notes, follow-ups, and drafts.
Do previously unlocked leads ever expire?
No. Once a lead is unlocked it stays in your Vault permanently.
How the product works
What’s the typical workflow?
- Run a search by city + industry to build a territory preview.
- Preview and score results to find the best targets.
- Unlock only the leads you want to work (spends credits only after success).
- Manage leads in the Vault: status, follow-ups, tags, notes, and outreach drafts.
Does LeadForge send messages to leads automatically?
No. LeadForge is draft-only right now. It helps you create outreach drafts and manage execution, but it does not auto-send messages without your action.
Can I export my leads?
Yes. You can export visible/filtered leads to CSV for your own reporting or external workflows.
Can I use LeadForge if I’m a freelancer (not an agency)?
Yes. Many freelancers use LeadForge to build one territory at a time and execute consistently. The $8 Trial is designed specifically to let you prove the workflow without committing to a larger plan.
Scoring and prioritization
What does the score mean?
The score helps you prioritize leads that are more likely to benefit from your offer. It’s designed to surface high-opportunity targets first so you waste less time sorting.
Is scoring explainable?
Yes. LeadForge aims to provide explainable scoring signals (components and reasons) so you can understand why a lead is ranked higher or lower.
Can scoring be wrong?
Yes. Scoring is a decision-support tool, not a guarantee. Use it as a filter to save time — then apply your judgment based on the business and your offer.
Can I ignore the score?
Absolutely. The score is there to help you prioritize faster — not to force decisions. Many users use the score as a starting point, then apply their own niche-specific judgment.
Security and privacy
Do you collect passwords to third-party platforms?
No. LeadForge does not ask for or store passwords to Google, social platforms, or other third-party services.
What data do you store?
LeadForge stores your CRM data (leads you’ve unlocked, statuses, follow-ups, tags, notes, and drafts). This is used to power product features and keep your work persistent.
Is my data shared or sold?
No. We do not sell your CRM data. Your lead workflow is tied to your account.
How do you protect access?
Access control is enforced so your CRM data is only available to your account. Sensitive actions (like unlocks and billing) are guarded server-side.
Compliance, outreach, and responsible use
Is this a spam tool?
No. LeadForge is built to support responsible outbound by helping you prioritize and organize leads. You are responsible for your outreach content, frequency, and compliance with applicable laws and platform rules.
Do you recommend any best practices for outreach?
- Personalize your message and lead with value.
- Keep volume reasonable and avoid repetitive follow-ups.
- Respect opt-outs and local regulations.
- Track outcomes so you learn what works.
Do you provide legal/compliance advice?
No. We provide product guidance and best practices, but compliance depends on your region, your channel, and your outreach approach. If you have compliance questions, consult a qualified professional.
Support
How do I get help?
Use the in-app support bubble for quick answers. If you need a human, use the support option inside the app and include what you were doing + any error message you saw.
What should I include in a support request?
- What page you were on (Leads, Lead View, Pricing, etc.)
- What action you took (search, unlock, change status, etc.)
- The exact error text (or screenshot)
- Approximate time it happened
